We rescued a chihuahua mix at about 4 months, it had red mange, was malnourished and kept outside. She is healthy now and a wonderfull loyal little dog, sometimes naughtly as she is just a year old, but i can not get her to stop doing her business on the bed. I have two other chihuaha's and have had not problems. I have tried puppy pads, she will go outside when i take her but if she has the oportunity to get in the bedroom she leaves something behind, and it does not matter if she just went outside. I have tried a baby gate, which she jumps over, I close the door, but i am in and out of the bedroom all the time and sometimes forget to close it all the way Its like she waits for the oportunity to do this. She does not do this when i am in there or at night when she sleeps with me. And when she does do it she knows she is wrong and runs from me. HELP I am sick of changing the bed daily. And she gets just as much if not more attention from me as the older dogs.

Well if you cant break her of it, I would suggest putting a plastic sheet over your bed. That will at least save you the trouble of having to constantly change your sheets and ruin your mattress. They hve those clear table cloths. And maybe if she jumps up there it will scare her (the sound) and not ever do it again. My dog is scared of trash bags. IF there is a trash bag to be seen he takes off.

the first thing you could do is to get a reagular schedule for the dog. if you feed her in the morning you need to let her out about a half hour after, be sure to reward the dog with affection or a treat after each time she goes out. there is also another method where you use newspapers and then the same concept

She's mad at you. You don't deserve it but thats whats wrong. I've found inside door hinges that close automatically that might help. At least for a few weeks she needs to stay out of there except at bedtime. I knew a cat that used to poop on the phone if I made her get off the copier. Good luck

The only way is to keep the dog out of the bedroom.

Don't let her in your room when your not there. Or since she's still young, you could easily get her used to a crate when your out of the house.

Keep the dog off your furniture. It won't make you a terrible person and your dog won't soil on any of it.
