This is a serious question...for the ones that dress modestly for religious reasons, does the modest dress also apply within the home?
I know some christian women who mentioned they cover their hair indoors as well ...so that's why i'm asking... i know they obviously have sex but is foreplay/looking sexy and all that stuff 'allowed'? sorry, not sure how to word my question.

i know for muslims it's encouraged that the spouses dress up/look good for each other when in private even though lots dress very modestly outside of the home....so i'm wondering if it's the same with practicing Christians and/or Jews who dress modestly

hope i didnt offend.
thanks in advance

the reason why i'm asking is because i am starting an online lingerie shop and want to know if this is a potential target market as well...no nude/partially nude lingerie models..only on mannequins so husband and wife can 'shop' together without worrying about objectionable content.

It depends on the individual, and upon the individual's religious culture.
As far as Christian groups, go......usually what goes on at home, in private, in the bedroom......is not discussed in public. It's assumed the couple will please one another freely. Use of lingerie is not necessarily discouraged. Some encourage it, actually. If I can make a generalization, I could say that there are a lot of conservative religious people that disapprove of the openness and marketing of companies like Victoria's secret and find their ads either borderline or outright offensive. Some of those people don't believe that sort of open advertising with so much skin belongs in the public forum, it belongs in the bedroom. I had a pastor whose wife actually sold lingerie out of magazines to the ladies in the church. So......sometimes it's definitely allowed and encouraged between husband and wife in the bedroom, but many don't like it out in the open, access to kids, etc.

The LDS church does not have an official policy on this. Those who have made temple covenants wear special underwear that is sacred to them. They are to wear these garments when dressed. You don't wear them while participating in certain activities such as swimming. There may be certain activities that occur in the bedroom where wearing sexy clothing may be appropriate.

I would assume that this is true of other conservative Christians and Jews, but some religions will be more restrictive about this than others.

I'm sure they buy undergarments just like the rest of the world.

Mormons have to wear stupid underwear after they are married in their temples. They are called garments and they are worn to remind them of their covenants.
