there's this boy that i have been talking to for a while now, and he told me he had a girlfriend, but i really like him and we have a lot in common. what should i do, tell him how i feel or keep my mouth shut?

i think it depends on the situation completely. if he seems happy with his girlfriend, then keep your mouth shut, show some respect for him, his relationship and yourself. but if things seem rocky with his relationship, or if he really seems interested in you, then only hint that you like him, don't whore yourself out there, but just hint. this is how i met my boyfriend now- we both were with other people, wound up eventually both breaking up with our ex's and we were right there for each other--- i've never ever been happier! just use your best judgement and make your choice from your heart.

Keep your self respect and don't tell him. There are so many nice boys out there who are single who will like you.
By telling him you like him you are inviting him to choose. He may choose you which means he's not at all loyal. So then what did you get?
If he chooses her you may lose a friend as well as a possible romance. Keep the secret crush a secret and date around. Maybe down the line he will be single and you can make your move then.

You could be subtle and just hint it, but if he already mentioned he has a gf it would not speak well of you. It would make you seem like a poacher, of course the guy would be reallly flattered but if you make the first move then he can feel justified in accepting your advances and making his own, because you started it.

ask the girl he claims is his girlfriend and see if she really is if she isn't feeling the same towards him then go for it
