This may be a dumb question but I've never been married so I have noooo Idea how it all works.....so the guy asks the girl to marry her and gives her a ring....then what? the girl runs out and gets a ring for him? Im confused!!! I need to have this info b/c if thats the case...I need to save some money asap!...help!

The guy buys an engagement ring first. Then you both purchase wedding bands for one another, but you don't wear them until the actual wedding ceremony.

Sometimes a guy comes with a ring in hand, but sometimes people have two ring ceremonies. And some people don't get engagement rings the female may just get a wedding band. I guess it's up to them?? But my fiance did not come with an engagement ring, but we are planing our wedding. Really honestly with me the ring is not as important as the real meaning/ message behind him wanting to get married; him loving and being in love with me is more important. Also you two will shop for wedding bands together when you great a couple of months away from the date.

You don't give the guy an engagement ring. You both shop for wedding bands when it gets closer to the wedding date.

You can get engaged without ANY rings. They are not required.
Usually only the woman is given one.
Yes, you do have to save up money. To throw your wedding with.
