I have to reinstate my license to the state of Florida but I live in Ohio at the moment.... My license was suspended due to not having insurance so they sent me a letter stating that I needed to do the following: "Purchase a personal injury protection (PIP) and property damage liability (PDL) insurance policy."

My question is: does that mean just regular liability, cheap-o insurance? or is that some kind of special insurance? I am currently thinking about gettin regular, cheap insurance from Progressive.com

They are looking for at minimum a basic Florida insurance policy with two coverages: PIP and PD. Any Florida insurance agent or company can provide you with full details about it.

You might consider either calling, or emailing the Florida RMV to ask them this question. If you just go ahead and get a policy, it could cost you more in the long run, if you get the wrong coverage. Or a delay on your reinstatement.

In Texas this form of insurance standard would be called "Full Coverage." Seek the expertise of someone in the insurance field & also contact the DMV
(Department Motor Vehicles) in the state you will drive this vehicle. I hope this helps...
