I am M.A. and an A.A. man asked me "where the black part of town" was. This is a city of 90.000 and the AA and MA live in a certain part of town. He asked where the black bars were. What woud be the P. C. response to his question?

As far as the politically correct response- there is none. What is acceptable to one may horribly offend another. I would just answer honestly with the name of a bar that he or she may enjoy. Or ask what kind of music they are into, or other interests- non racially specific.

i'll allow you to know that the black people listed lower than are more desirable vocal about issues and that is what helped them. they do no longer discriminate if one surely has a million/4 or a lot less blood in them... all of them stand at the same time. Now this remark receives me thumbs down, because some experience there is not any stress between tribes anymore. yet the following that's... I have suggested contained in the previous that if community American tribes can drop the ideas-set that some have hostile to others, because... they're of a diverse tribe or has decrease than 1/2 or quarter blood in them and all stand at the same time, communicate up... our voices will be heard. Then possibly, basically possibly alterations may come that many might want to like. I have suggested this, because... I have encountered ones who don't love me, because i'm 1/2 and 1/2 of two diverse tribes. So i know there remains stress between some tribes. Edit: Forgot you may want to get some answerers declaring that community individuals do get the help of the authorities, because some have a pretend concept that we community individuals get a month-to-month verify from the authorities.

I would have said, "I'm sorry, I don't know. I'm not black, and I live in a predominantly Mexican area of town." No use referring to the man as African American. How do you know he's hot Haitian or Jamaican?

You can see by his questions that he isn't a PC person. So a PC answer wouldn't be overally important assuming you want to satisfy his question with a good answer. So I would just tell him where they are without worrying too much about PC.

How about, "over there". If the man was comfortable referring to himself in this manner, there's no reason to be P.C. about it. If people could just get over the hyphenations, we'd all be better off.

First off.. were you born in Mexico? and was this African American born in Africa?

Personally, I don't think you have the right to call yourselves Mexican American or African American.. Mexico and Africa are countries.. I don't call myself European-American because my great grandparents were born in Europe.....
