There is far more that connects us than separates us, the sad thing is people seem only to see the differences.

I think that there is much more in common with us than our differences...when I look at what I consider to be the big scale of things..mankind keeps getting bogged down in non-issues(what colour is your skin--WHO CARES--who teaches children these things?) and we fail to use what we have to create something really beautiful...It is sort of like a company I worked for...when it merged with another one...I thought WOW we now have the potential for being really a great (customer service based) company...because we all had so much diversity to add to the collective company...but it didn't happen...it was just bickering and squabbling about which company was/had been better and all this (excuse my language) s**t.....I just wish we could get it all together and realize that we are all on this planet whizzing through space together...nationalist boundaries evaporate when you think like that....I dunno...do I make any sense at all?

Standing Together in a Deceitful World, or in Yahoo.
1 Corinthians 1:4-10
As believers indwelt by the Holy Spirit, we all belong to God’s family and have a special relationship with one another. We are spiritual brothers and sisters, called by God to live in loving agreement with one another.
Unity in the church or yahoo, occurs when believers live in submission to the Holy Spirit and let Him control attitudes, emotions, and actions. By surrendering the “outward things” that we value about our church — such as its worship style, appearance, and programs offered — we position ourselves to be in one accord with our fellow believers. How can we learn to lay aside our own goals and preferences in order to help our spiritual family? By remembering how precious we are to the Lord and how important others are to Him as well.
Not only is the concept of surrender vital for unity; it is also a key element of love. Biblical love — in Greek, agape — willingly sacrifices so that someone else might benefit. It is the “super glue” that keeps the body of Christ together and enables us to put the interests of others ahead of our own (Colossians 3:14).
Furthermore, within any fellowship, there exists a variety of opinions on many different topics. Diligence and cooperation, along with lots of love — a divinely given fruit of the Spirit — are necessary to preserve the peace (Ephesians 4:3; Galatians 5:22-23).
When we know what we believe and are knitted together in love, error has difficulty penetrating, and false teachers do not stay around. In light of some differences of opinion among believers you know, how might you show love to your spiritual family? argue? Simply state your Biblical fact, and leave it alone. When Believers unite together, the evil will leave among us. Why can we not do this? Spiritual fortitude come too mind.

Depends on if we're in groups or one-on-one. You put two opposing people alone in the same room, they'll find a common link, but that doesn't happen in groups. The group mentality is one of the most dangerous things to all of us.

That which divides us are illusions. That which connects us is real. We all desire the same things Joy, peace, freedom and love. How we believe this is achieved is what separates us. Our illusions of self blind us to the oneness of all things.

The spirit is at war with the flesh. Our spirit, the conscience within, against the selfish nature of our bodies, that make us hurt others. This struggle goes on in everyone of us.

The fact that we even ask such a question is troubling. We are so much like each other, there really is little difference to mention. We can breed with each other no problem. That says it all.

it's all to do with timing, I feel we all have in us some of the same feelings, but we all have are time to show it, time to express it, time for compassion.

our feelings may be the same, but time to know, grow, and express that same feeling.... time is the divider

We are much more alike than we are different, therefore, there are more things that connect us than divide us.
