Praying to God every day. Especially early in the morning for fajr prayer, right before the sun rises, when everyone is asleep and everything is quiet and peaceful. Muslims believe that is the angels' favorite time to gather and listen to people praying or praising God (of any religion).

Also, taking care of my family. Spending time with my friends. Helping my community, especially those who are poor or in need of help. Especially when you know that you really made a difference in someone's life, as cheesy as it sounds. I do a lot of legal work, so to me saving someone from deportation, or from being evicted, or from going to jail, is an amazing to experience.

Beautiful question, btw. It saddens me to see people insult and degrade one another's religions. We should help each other grow spiritually be sharing our experiences. What brings YOU the most peace and joy, by the way?

Assalamu alaykum (Peace be upon you).
:)

I think my church has the greatest praise and worship team in the universe (sorry to all of the other bands). They worship the Lord in spirit and in truth. They help me to worship the Lord in freedom. I am so "charged" when I leave church that I can't wait until the next service. I often attend services 4 times a week. That is where I get my peace and my joy.

When I go to the river and practice my SEEING. And see
the light that is along the tops of the trees. And like a mist
on the top of the water.

When your child runs to meet you at the door with a hug and a kiss after a long day at work. Makes you understand why you even bother with the job.

my answer:

Bismillah....
28. And of men and AdDawâb (moving living creatures, beasts, etc.), and cattle, in like manner of various colours. It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is AllMighty, OftForgiving.
29. Verily, those who recite the Book of Allâh (this Qur'ân), and perform AsSalât ([the prostration prayer]), and spend (in charity) out of what We have provided for them, secretly and openly, hope for a (sure) tradegain that will never perish.
30. That He may pay them their wages in full, and give them (even) more, out of His Grace. Verily! He is OftForgiving, Most Ready to appreciate (good deeds and to recompense).
31. And what We have inspired in you (O Muhammad SAW), of the Book (the Qur'ân), it is the (very) truth [that you (Muhammad SAW) and your followers must act on its instructions], confirming that which was (revealed) before it. Verily! Allâh is indeed AllAware, and AllSeer of His slaves.

- Quran, Chapter 35

In addition:

Hadith - Qudsi 34

O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it.

Peace: A warm day, lazing on my sun lounger beside the pool at my favourite nudist club, with a good book and a cup of tea. Bliss...

Joy: Better not say! :-)

Peace: A rainy day. A day filled with snow falling. My heart and how it feels with my Maker.

Joy: My two grandchildren and their laughter. My little lovebird Jasper when he wants to lay in my hand and sleep. My dog, Snowy when she looks at me with those dark eyes and sees the love I have for her, she was a rescue dog we adopted 2 years ago.

How about you?

Giving someone a useful gift that they weren't expecting. Sitting alone watching the stars, or snowfall on a dark winter's night.
