There are no current plans for another supersonic comercial jetliner because, they are expensive to fly due to risisng energy cost and huge fuel consumption, plus they can not hold very many passengers thus they do not equate to a very high profit margin...so the airliners say why run a jet that costs more to run and maintain that flys fewer people...unless you are trying to occupy a nitch market it is a rather pointless venture. But boeing is comming out with a new commercial jet that is based off the same flying wing design that the b2 uses thats right no rudders and no alderon, strictly fly by wire. In addition, it is supposed to hold a ridiculous sum of people, and be one of the most fuel efficent commercial jets to date. So far they have only done small wind tunnel test s and boeing is very pleased. It looks like in todays world the airliners are looking for massive fuel efficent jet liners, which makes sense since it is the most cost effective

No Concorde will never fly again, Not even at airshows.
After the Crash in France Concorde Bookings Fell by 40% so the cost of flying her was more than what they were making.
Virgin Atlantic Showed an interest in buying the Concorde's. However BA and Air France Refused to Sell.
As for Building a new supersonic airliner. The two major aircraft builders, Airbus and Boeing. Airbus is developing the A380 Super jumbo and Boeing are designing a new version of the 747.
Neither look likely to build a new supersonic plane as they seem to be concentrating on building bigger as opposed to faster aircraft.

It would be nice, but it seems unlikely because of the high cost of fuel. It takes about three times as much fuel to fly at supersonic speed as it does to fly subsonic.

Not likely. It costs an absolute fortune to get the thing in the air. Who on earth would fund that? The millitary are not interested in it. It would be nice to see her airbourne again but it's like the return of Elvis - it aint never gonna happen!!!!

doubt it, since it is a supersonic jet, it has reached it's life cycle therefore it probabbly will not fly again unless they build new ones
