he is friends with my ex,I ran into him one night and we hit it off talking,I was still bitter about catching my ex cheating on me,he listened and understood.He drove me home that night and I invited him to stay and asked him to sleep in the bed with me,I asked him to put his arm around me and he did till I slept.He was a complete gentleman and did not try anything,I really respected that.I saw him once since and he came to me and said"your killing me"my ex was there so we had to keep quiet.It has been 6 months since that night and I still think of him.I was told from a mutual friend that he likes me but is freaked about my ex.Could that just be an excuse?Do you think he did like me or just hoping to get sex? Could he still think of me?

I think your ex's friend is a such gentleman. He is very caring for you and he stands by you when you are unhappy. But he may be worried of the relationship between you, him and your ex. So, I think you should try to ask him out and find out does he likes you or not. You can bring out that night and discuss with him and understand his thinking and feeling on you.

I think he likes you, but is afraid of hurting his friendship with your ex..... honestly, I think that friends' girlfriends/boyfriends or friends' ex-boyfriends/girlfriends are off limits, unless the friend says it's ok... but that's just my feeling...
