Women, because they are the ones who take the family to church and also the type of church that is attended. For instance, in Jewish faith they follow matrilinially because it is a known fact that women take the children to church and get them the religious education (that is not to say that men don't believe, just that the women are the ones who follow through). I am a woman and while my husband is Catholic, I am Lutheran and our children go to Lutheran church with me.

I don't think it's a gender thing. I think the fearful are more apt to believing in God. You will probably find that a sociopath is very unlikely to believe in God, sociopaths make up 10% of the American population and they are almost fearless. I am a male, and I am a sociopath. Not all sociopaths are killers and criminals.

actually there was a poll done about this a while back. i wish i remembered who it was doen by.
anyways it was shown that actually females are more likely to beleive in gods. since females prefer things in their livesthat are stable and positive. males usually beleive out of brainwashing or life long indoctrinatin.
im serious too. its females who are more likely to beleive.

Female. religion is designed to be a restrictive set of rules on life, and studies show women are politically more restrictive than men and thus will follow a religion that restricts more easily than a man.

it does seem to be females who are more open to religious and spiritual things
i feel that men ( not all ) may believe but perhaps find it weak to admit it .. it isnt the macho thing to do lol
i am not generlasing please dont think that ... but i have met many such men
ive asked such questions many times and done some surveys on this question in the past
