I'd join with the "NO!".
Do not use anything that is specifically chemically designed for a dog (food, flea chemicals, medicines) on a cat. Different metabolism - up to the point that it can be poisonous.
For fleas, I would recommend Frontline. I know it's not very cheap, but a couple of friends who have both a dog and a cat always use that (it has different versions for dogs and cats!), even though they are not very well-off. And it's a preference that came after years of experimentation with other methods (collars, powders, sprays, baths). So it's a choice of "I'm not rich enough to buy cheap things".
I tend to follow the advice of people who have the experience, and they are the couple who have the greatest and most successful pet-raising experience. Very healthy and well-behaved pets too.

Of course not - get her a flea collar (for a cat) you could kill her, and i wouldnt use it on the puppy until you have checked with a vet - not just asked idiots on yahoo answers.
I actually feel very concerned for your cat now and i hope that you will not use dog flea spray on her, put her first - there are some animal hating twa*s on here who dont give a damn about your cat you should be more responsible

No, you cannot use dog flea spray on your cat. The product is made suitable for a dog. It has a different concentration than if it were intended for a cat. If it was possible to use it on a cat, it would say that it's also meant to be used on cats. It can very toxic and poisonous to cat's, if the product is not meant to be used on a cat. You need to get a cat spray that says it's for use on cats. It doesn't matter if it's ok to use on puppies, it's still not ok for cats.

No you can't, it's different chemicals, can't use cat spray on a dog either. I had to buy 2 different cans as I have both a dog and a cat, same fleas on both but they absorb into the animals skin differently and are harmful if used on the wrong animal.

No way!! Buy a product for CATS! You would poison a cat - much too strong - oh, and dog fleas are not differernt to cat fleas.

No, flea treatments are designed with the size of animal in mind and also dogs are less likely to clean themselves like cats.
Try speaking to you vet about something like Frontline, just a few drops and your pet is protected for months!
