I'm an old fashioned type of guy... and while I appreciate an old fashioned gal... I dont necessarily think what you are doing is "good". If you limit yourself to saying "never" at anytime in your life, then you are just closing yet another door in your life that could have been the best thing to happen to you.

Here's my thoughts....

1. I think guys should ask women out... and not the other way around. BUT women should encourage a guy if they like him. Make it easy on us.

2. If you have a guys phone number, then you already know the guy is interested in you. There is absolutely no risk in calling him first. I would suggest you get over this hurdle quickly because its going to hinder some possible relationships.

Bottom line is this: Its already hard enough to make a relationship work, and you aren't making it any easier by placing artificial barriers in the way. Being a guy in the relationship isn't exactly a walk in the park, and with you putting additional barriers in the way, its going to be even harder for you to find someone that can live up to your expectations.

some people would call it a bit old fashioned. I personally like it when a guy takes control but when you were in a situation like I was when my husband and I were first dating you would want to ask him out. Long story short, I liked him since February and finally in March when we kept getting closer but he wasnt asking me out I finally asked him if he would like to join me for dinner and we have been together ever since. So sometimes it is good to be assertive.

yeah i think it is old fashioned but not only that it means that you will probably spend your life alone because if the guy you like is shy you will lose out. you need to find a balance between being really old fashioned and always making the first move.

I don't know if it's necessarily old-fashioned. Some people are just shy and can't bring themselves to be the more outgoing person when it comes to initiating a date or a dance.

Nope. If a guy wants you enough he will do what it takes to get you.

Once you're in a relationship, though, it is definitely too old fashioned to always wait for him to call.

No, if you are not comfortable with asking than stay within your comfort range. Although you may miss out on some great experiences.
