When you are older it is more difficult to learn a second language. If you started to learn the language when you were 2 or 3 years old, you would pick up the language fairly quickly.

Just like anything else if you practice and try to learn the language you will do just fine.

Good luck to you.

Some people are better at it than others. For me, it's never been hard, French, Spanish or Latin. It depends on how you make connections. If you frequently attach the words a foreign word comes from that are in your language (the derivitives) it's a lot easier.
People become wired to their own languages and their ears can't understand the sounds that other tounges make anymore. It's harder to separate syllables. You also develop your own accent and different accents (and speeds of talking) can be hard to understand.
Some languages are harder to learn than others because they are frequently irregular instead of having normal forms. In Latin these might be i-stems or verbs with no 4th principle parts. English is highly irregular and is one of the hardest languages to learn.

It depends on how you go about learning it. It doesn't have to be hard. If you could be more specific about what language you are trying to learn and what you are having difficulties with, someone might be able to help you.
