My fiancee wants me to start mixing mayo into our dog's food so that he'll get more "swole" and bulk up.... is this true? Because I've never heard of it. And I don't want to make the dog sick, but, he does need to gain some more weight.

give the dog more food.. do not give the dog mayo, and PLEASE do not give the dog canned food and rawhides... because if you give the dog canned food and rawhides then you will have a skinny dog with bad teeth and will be eating framaldehyde. not a good idea.... instead of 3 meals a day, give him 5... also a good idea to call the vet... they have some suggestions as well..

Oh dear lord-please don't do that. You want him to bulk up not die. Look at his overall diet. Your vet may be able to recommend a different food that would be better for him. If he's supposed to be a 'bulked up' dog he will be on the right diet. Also, exercise is key. While he may loose some weight running and walking it is awesome for helping the little guys build up those muscles! Tell your honey to skip the mayo and to go out and play with the dog.

Yeah, I hear ya. My best friend bought a "bugg" (boston terrier pug) from a breeder, so I have to kind of watch what I say around her. I do admit that at the time I didn't really realize how bad a breeder that person was, so I didn't tell her at the time she was looking and that makes me feel like a hypocrite now if I do say anything...anyway..My cousin's fiancee has a huskie b!tc# he wants to breed and every time I hear about it I have to say something. I cannot keep my mouth shut and I have to lecture the both of them about responsible breeding and dog overpopulation; I'm hoping one day it will sink in. I also look for ways to bring up the subject of dog food because they are feeding Beneful...ugh. It makes me so sad and a little mad. With the shock collar, my dad wanted to get one for one of our rescue dogs but mom and I refused to let him. I don't know what the deal is with an electrical shock seeming more humane than spritzing with water. Frankly I would have done the same thing with that wannabe breeder. Such complete ignorance and disregard for living things is hard to tolerate.

You will need an industrail carpet to shampoo your carpet! If you really want your dog to gain weight mix 1/2 canned and1/2 kibble and he should wolf that down and also be a bit generous with the treats. Be careful not to put your dog overweight though. I give my dog a spoon of peanutbutter once a week for the peanut oil it makes her coat shine.

GOD NO!!! don't u dare feed that crap to ur dog!!!!

dog food has the correct vitamins and nutrients ur dogs needs...that’s y it is called 'dog food' if mayo was for dogs it wouldn't be called may. u will kill your dog...or at least help it towards it's death...please don't! it has too much sugar, fat and eggs in. u want to make it healthy, walk it in the morning, make sure it has access to water AT ALL TIMES and keep it DOG FOOD, dry as well as wt, don’t keep it on just one or the other for too long, and don’t give it second helpings of wet food, if it eats what u give it 1st time round, only give it extra biscuit. AND IF IT'S A PUPPY DONT OVER FEED IT, IT MAY SEEM HUNGRY AND EAT REALLY FAST BUT THATS COZ IT DONT KNOW HOW TO HANDLE ITS FOOD YET...LIKE BABIES please treat ur dog well!!1

No, that is very bad for the dog. He will eat as much as he needs. Do not tamper with his food. That is animal abuse. Think twice about marrying this man.

It will give them a shiny coat. but the poo smell will be awful. dogs don't have a good digestive system. Try a egg instead or table scraps
