"I Come to the the Garden Alone"

When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the King of glory died
My richest gain
I count but loss
And pour contempt on all my pride

Forbid it Lord,
That I should boast
Save in the death
Of Christ my God
All the vain things
That charm me most
I sacrifice them
To His blood

See from His head
His hands, His feet
Sorrow and love
Flow mingled down.
Did e're such love
And sorrow meet
Or thorns compose
So rich a crown

Where the whole realm
Of nature mine
That were an offering
Far too small.
Love so amazing
So divine
Demands my soul
My life, my all.

At the cross at the cross
Where I first saw the light
And the burden of my heart
Rolled away.
It was there by faith
I received my sight
And now
I am happy all the day.

Amazing Grace, because it describes me to a t.
I have been a wretched person in my life, until I met Jesus.
The reason I chose it, is totally a personal experience, yet an experience that so many other people can claim the same thing is no less than a miracle.
Though I detest sin, it means so much having left the dark side to get where I am now.

For a hymn I like Amazing Grace. For a worship or praise song I like We Will Ride. If you want to hear the song visit www. soldiersoflightministry.com

Worship in the Bible is never equated with music so in reality there is no such a thing as a worship song. That is a contemporary idea which is less than 30 years old.
Anyway, I have many favorites and I don't think I can narrow it down to one. It all depends on the cicumstances at the time and which one meets the need.

"It is well with my Soul" is a great hymn. The song from Aladdin about the magic carpet ride, to me describes what someone might think and feel when they pass away from this life and go to heaven. It's supper!

I can't say that "I'll Fly Away" is the greatest ever hymn, but my late Mom dearly loved the song.

Coming from a non-Christian, even: "I Am" by Nicole Mullins (not Nicole C. Mullen) is such a beautiful song. I love her voice, as well as Jennifer Knapp's.
