many were hastily buried where they fell. Some were disinterred later and buried in cemetaries. Some were so badly destryed they were left where they fell. Even today every once in a while a body turns up from the civil war.

Most were buried where they fell or near by, some from wealthy families or officers were taken home to be buried, the ones that died in camps were probably in mass graves or burned
