Have had the arthroscopy and the results were have no cartilage and flattened the bones and have arthritis in the side concerned was told not many are done and they cost a lot of money

This is from years of grinding my teeth am always telling friends if any of their children do this get them to dentist ASAP

maxilloplasty (upper jaw) or mandibuloplasty (lower jaw), or maxillomandibuloplasty (both jaws) replaced.

As far as am aware the actual false joint put in is called a Christensen. But it is a very rare operation.

More common to do arthoscopy(just having a look and wash out) or an arthroplasty( where they actually do some reshaping or freeing up of the jaw joint)
