I believe in that there is one god, he is all forgiving, no matter what you do as long as you mean well you will go to "paradise" (i call it that because i'm not sure if i'm a christian or not therefore don't call it heaven). i lead a good life, i help people worse off than me as much as i can and give to charity regulary. i find myself drawn towards the consept of bushido as i think it's a good way to conduct myself. what religon am I?

i think that my "god" leaves us to our own devices, thats the only way he can truly test us. he does not interact in any way, no matter how horrific something is, thats how he or she tests us

You sound like a non-denominational monotheist and a good person. Kudos to you.

You could be a heretical christian even. There was a group called the Arians, their leader came from Britain actually, who thought that good works were enough. They didn't think it mattered what you believed so long as you tried to live a good life.
Personally, I think you should keep away from being a member of a religion. Have your own ideas and beliefs. You don't need a label stuck on you. Take any ideas you think are good from where ever you find them. If they make sense to you that's fine.
Bushido is a code of behaviour.
I loved the person who said they didn't want anything to do with you as you weren't a christian. How christian is that?

I'm not sure warren But I suggest that you get a copy of the course in miracles because it teaches a thought system very much like what you are describing. I think it might best be called a follower of Jesus, but not a christian.

Love and blessings

you don't need to be labelled in a particular religion, i'm the same as you. I believe that if you are a good person then you will go to heaven whether you go to church every week or not. You don't need to be part of some organisation, if you have your belief and spirituality then that is enough

Aldeism. Deism is the belief that there is a God, without following a specific religion; Aldeism is the same principle, but with an emphasis on doing good.

We'll need some more information, if possible. Do you believe that God interacts with us? Has he come to earth incarnated? Is there an evil counter-force? What about reincarnation?

These would help me to give you a more accurate answer.

Do you have to belong to a religion? A lot of them have major issues, I for one would not want to be labelled or associated with them.

If you just keep doing what you feel is good and right then that should be good enough, don't you think?

There's no need to label yourself.
You are a content human being who lives his life well, considering yourself, others and the effects between the two.
