We are getting married in the summer month of May 2007.We would like to find a place to honeymoon where it is cold. I know it a weird request but I have to give my bride what she desires. It does not matter where across the world.

I used to live in Vancouver, British Columbia, and the climate there is perfect in May when all the trees are all blossoming. If you want to get colder, the ski resort of Whistler is only a short drive away, and the whole area is very beautiful. It has everything, ocean, mountains, islands...

Believe it or not, Guadalajara, Mexico is quite cold in summer. We're 5000 ft above sea level and the temperature has been in the 60s and low 70s since the end of July. It rains a lot, too, mostly at night. I'm afraid May is a hot month, though.

I agree with Alicia, Maine is a great place for a honeymoon. The Coast is usually quite cool and the further North you go the cooler it gets. Boothbay harbor is very nice. Book at least 6 month's ahead. Portland has the CAT which takes you skimming over the ocean to Nova Scotia. Lot's of places and things to do in Maine. Freeport the home of L.L. beans also has a dessert.

I live in San Francisco and it's pretty cool here in the summer -- the fog rolls in and the coast doesn't get past 65 degrees most days. You're not going to find any really COLD places in the US in the summer (even Alaska gets warm) -- but SF stays the coolest outside of high altitude locations.

New Zealand is snowing all the winter, like Lord of the Rings movie landscaper

My best option to honeymoon is a cruise, it's early season on Alaska routes for all cruise lines...

congratulations for your big step and your interest.

If you need to stay in the U.S. try Alaska. If you have to stay on Mainland, try a commercial cave. If none of these apply, then Brazil or New Zealand would be a great choice in May (start of winter there).

Northern Alaska. It's still in the 30s there in July sometimes.

All I can think of is high in the Rockies. Then there's Alaska, of course.
