Surely they do, because when you are asking a question Yahoo!Answers automatically checks for similar answers.

I don't know. I guess for the same reason people keep getting on here and asking the "What came first, chicken or egg" question. Yahoo answers should ban both of these questions, along with the, "Am I pregnant?" ones.
