I heard someone talking about a brand new house they're getting that is for low income people, you pay cheap rent and after so many years you own it. I've done searches for low income housing but all I find is articles about it. I'm wondering if anyone knows of specifically where to find new or decent low income houses.

www.getajob.com..no actually go to google and type in HUD houses. They're NOT just for low income people. you don't rent them, you buy them. You usually don't pay anything on a down payment and have a very cheap payment.
You can get a better job and still go to school. Just try a first time home buyers loan.

Do you have kids? Because that's the only thing that would qualify you because it's called HUD housing. http://www.cabinc.org/TSP/hudhousing.htm
It depends on the state as well. We live in WA and the state won't let you be on HUD if you don't have kids. Housing is specifically just for kids!

here in Ohio I'm getting a house from rural development foundation it's based on income thou my hubby and i both work we make 47 thousand a year there cut off is 57 thousand family of 5. Look up rural development housing they work outta different states.
