m, people of your age often go through mood swings - it isn't ALL the time you feel like that is it?
Can you talk to your mum, older sister, a teacher, a pastor/priest(I don't know your religious state!), or maybe a counsellor at school? You are definitely not alone in sometimes feeling sad/angry for no particular reason.
It can help if you find a hobby, sport or some activity you enjoy doing, or where you meet people - voluntary work with other young people can make you feel better. Helping someone else feel better helps you!
I think it is unlikely that you need medication.

might be depression --which is a medical condition and can be treated. I'm not talking about just bing down. I say this because I have it and it wasn't diagnosed for a long, long time --I was just sad and crying all the time or a lot of the time.
Go to a psychiatrist (who is a medically trained doctor) and get tested. . .
Some tips: a good multivitamin, a good B complex vitamin, lots of vitamin C
limit sugar
sleep enough
exercise regularly

I agree with the others, it sounds like dpression, which is a chemical imbalance, and can be treated with medication. It can be caused by stress, an illness, or loss of a loved one. Take some good advice: go see your doctor. God Bless!

Pray about your situation. I have felt like this many times in my life and pray always made me feel better. I was going to start taking Zoloft but I pray to God to make me better to heal me and I was heal and don't have to take any medication to make me feel good. God is the answer to everything. Just have faith that he can and will and pray in His son Jesus Christ name. The bible say anything you ask and believe in heart without doubt take it it is yours. So ask and you shall recieve. I have prayed for you help.
