So my girlfriend asked me this a while back.

Imagine you are in a pretty serious relationship. All of a sudden, you learn that your partner had a horrible accident. He/She now is physcially deformed/handicapped. Would you stay with him/her?

I am physically challenged and my fiance loves me in spite of it. ha! Actually she loves me because of it. If something like that were to happen to the love of my live I would most certainly stay and would look forward to being as much help as I could for this joyful partner.

Can't honestly say that I relate correctly to that question but my husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer 2 weeks before we got married. Of course I stayed with him....I loved him, not his body. (For the record, he's alive and healthy and the most successful clinical trial patient for that cancer ever) :) And now my ex-husband. Go figure.

For me this answer is easy...i would stay with him!I wouldn't even think it over twice.....love is not about face eyes and body...maybe that are the qualities for someone to get to notice u..but the heart is the quality that wins...!

I would stay with them and be at there side but honestly, I would eventually move on. Im sorry but no one really wants to get it on with some one who has there face torn apart. It sounds awful to say that but come on . . . it's just so true FOR ANYONE. Of course I would always be there with them though to help them and support them but not for sexual relations.

honestly i have thought about this before. I would, well i say i would stay with them. I know it would be alot to handle but i would hope my partner would do the same for me. God forbid it would ever happen to my love.

Yes, it is something to contemplate. That would certainly weed out the people who weren't truly in love.

That depends on your age and how deep your relationship was before the accident.

hell yes!!!!! Looks shouldn't be everything. It's your love for each other that really matters. Plus, if it's the person you really want to be with, when you're 70 you wont be beautiful anymore no matter what.
