Okay, so originally my hair is medium brown... I dyed it black awhile back. A couple days ago my boyfriend and I attempted to bleach my hair blonde. It is now orange, blonde, and brownish. How do I become JUST blonde from here? I know I shouldn't bleach it again and I don't want to go to a salon to have it fixed. Should I just go buy some blonde hair dye?

ok Honm, you can fix this at home.... but let me tell you, it is not a quick fix, there is a reason color corrections START at 75 dollars...
Also, it will be hard on your hair... but it sounds like you know that..... ok ready?

First... you need a color remover, it will strip the remaining color out of your hair, and is not quite as bad as bleach....
mix it like the package tells you, then apply only to the orange, and brown spots, NOT the yellow or blond, and NOT the roots.

allow it to process until it is all close to the same color..... might take a while

then with it all still in your hair, take some shampoo.... cheap shampoo like suave... cuz you will use a lot, and put it in your hair, YES along with the color remover, like you are going to wash your hair, only not with water yet...completely drench your hair with the mixture, this will help to even out the color, leave this on for like 10 minutes.
then rinse well, shampoo, and condition well.
either allow to dry, or blow dry.

Next you are going to need a blond hair color...... NOTE...... Very Important..... the blond color will only work after you ahve gotten your hair all to a light yellow/blond....

process the color like the package says... and DON"T use a blond that says "high lift" or "maximum blond"
They will be more damaging on your hair...
ok now

Choosing a blond.... if your hair is really yellow blond... you need to use an ash color, it will say on the package, if its not too bad, go ahead and try a natural blond.... avoid golden blond..
it will look brassy. also, you might have to choose a medium or darker blond... depending on how light you got your hair... choose one about the same lightness as yours.

I would suggest getting a REALLY good shampoo and conditioner.... i really like Pantene Restoratives, makes even the worst hair feel good again, and they make one that claims that it repairs 2 years worth of damage in 1 month.
Deep condition regularly, you will probably need some type of a haircut... hopefully just a trim, if your hair is naturally strong...
Avoid heat, like flat irons and curling irons... if you have to blow dry, use a heat spray, and a round brush to give you a smooth look.
(sometimes damaged hair looks frizzy) try a frizz serum, like john freida.

Just make sure you baby your hair from now on, no colors for a while, and when its time for roots.... only apply to the roots.... not the rest of your hair

Go to a salon to have it fixed. you should never have used bleach to get the black hair dye out, you should have used color remover to strip the color out first. Good luck P.S. Do not use an ash color like pink girlie says, your hair could turn green.

Yes, that is the cheapest way. Go out and get some dye.
