ok... my friend was dumped by her b/f and she keeps putting herself back into her selfpitty. now she dating someone new and its only been a day with him and shes telling me that she might not want to be with this guy because of still having feelings for her ex. so she lets me read a note that shes about to give him to tell him what shes really like. but she wants to give this guy a chance but theres way to much info in the note that could drive him away quickly. i tried giving her advive on how to handle her situation but she wont listen even though she asked me for the advice in the 1st place, and she wont listen to me. how can i try to reason with her about her taking time to get back into a realtionship after a bad break up that lead to a broken heart, insted of rushing into another realtionship, and that if shes really not ready to date someone different that she should just tell him that shes not ready for another b/f untill shes completely over the last b/f.

Try telling her how much it may ruin her relations. If she want listen the best thing you can do is watch her make the mistake and then let her cry some more on your shoulder and tell her it's not her fault. If you don't like that answer try telling her somethings about her ex that would send shivers up and down her spine then she should want to move on.Try to base it on facts thow you dont want to lie to her.I'm sure you can find out some stuff that will turn her off in a heart beat.

Maybe your friend is scared to end up alone. You should try to make her understand that she should take life as it comes and not try to rush things because guys will come and go but never leave. She also has to understand that there is someone better out there for her and maybe shes not meant to meet him right now. Now if she loved her ex-b/f that could be a problem, something hard to get over. Because i fell in love and still havent gotten over it.
