Do you give it a thumbs up if you agree and thumbs down if you don't?

Or do you base your rating on whether the question/answer, religious or otherwise, is well thought out and makes you think?

I don't rate based on whether or not I agree/disagree. If the person made good points, I give it a thumbs up. If the person is merely being a jerk, I'll give it thumbs down. If the person gives an answer that does not answer the question, but goes off on a soapbox, I'll give them thumbs down...because it is a bad answer to the question.

i base answers rateings on the accuracy of the answer, when compaired to the religious beliefs of the person asking the question.

if someone asks a question and states,,,Pagans only,,

and i see a bunch of christian preaching then i will give it a thumbs down because they are not trying to help they are just causing problems and starting arguements.

likewise if i see a christian themed question and i see a bunch of athiest's bashing the asker i will give them the thumbs down because they are not trying to answer the question they are just being jackasses.

a base the rateings on questions on how well thought out they are and how well they are worded. i have to be able to understand what someone is saying to be able to help them.

I base my rating on the seriousness of the question.

Whether it is theistic, atheistic, or other is irrelevant.

If it is trolling or to aggrevate and insult it will get a thumbs down.

If it is sincere, even if I don't agree with it, i usually give it a thumbs up.

ive given best answer to people i disagree with, i base a rating on the persons knowledge and passion, not on my belief.

however i do love when i get a thumbs down for presenting proven facts on America, its so cute to be given a thumbs down when your answer is true and factual.
