i'm 15 and i've never had a boyfriend, so my friend told me to try online dating. i think it sounds like fun, but so far everyone i've met either isn't interested or is a creep. any advice?

If you're 15, you have lots of guys to choose from at school or extra curricular activites. I wouldn't try online dating just yet, especially since you have to be 18+ in order to set up a personal ad anyhow. Just give it some time. If you turn 18 and you are still not where you want to be, you can possibly consider it then. Until then I would stay clear of online dating.

Well I found my boyfriend on a phone chat line, now we live together happily and plan to get married someday! We talked for about a year and decided that we really wanted to be together. Just be careful with personal information you give out like your phone number if it's on a phone chat line! If you are interested in dating online you should try joining myspace.com! It's free and you can meet lots and lots of people your own age! It's fun and safe! You can see pictures and get to know all the people you meet! You can also add pictures of your own too! Do blogs and you also get to pick who is your friends by declineing request from people who want to be your friend. You may even see some of your friends out there too, that's what makes it so fun too! there are also some chat rooms out there to! So go and have fun in what ever way you choose to meet a guy, good luck and I hope you find what you are looking for! Remember love dosen't always come fast, sometimes it will take a while so really get to know him!

First of all, talk to your parents, no matter how 'uncool' that may seem. There are a lot of risks for someone your age, and you should protect yourself from predators.
Second of all, try to find someone to date from your immediate peer group, someone you actually know, or have known, from a social context.
Finally, trust your own experience. How many creeps do you need to meet via internet dating to prove this may not be a good venue for you right now?
Take your time, and be safe.

You are pretty young to be meeting strangers on-line. Sorry but that is the way I feel as there are so many con men on there a person has to be very careful. Take your time and trust me when I tell you that you'll meet someone near you probably really soon. Good luck.

Your still young, you'll find someone but I doubt you'll find the special one on line.

Don't waste your time online, everybody is somebody online. Your 15 don't worry about dating or sex, wait until you get older. The only thing your missing out on is STD's.

my advice... just don't do it. you're the age that most pedaphiles target... you're young enough that you shouldn't worry about having a boyfriend. You don't need the hassle, and if you're wanting a boyfriend for popularity reasons you're being ridiculous... you don't need a boyfriend.
