Well, you were being irrational. She said no, that should be the end. It was wrong of him to do, but she took care of it. She IS his friend though, and she doesn't want you to hurt him- it makes you look like a punk (and she doesn't want that in a man). Be more self confidant, show you trust her to be loyal to you. It makes you look like you are threatened if you go to fight him. Let her handle it, she doesn't need you reinforcing her answer. Take her to homecoming an have a good time. She did nothing wrong, honestly. And she does probably really love you. Don't worry about the friend- she isn't interested in him. But she might turn her sights to other guys if you can't let her take care of herself as well. Defend her when she needs it.

Honey she's mad because she took care of it, that showed that she loves you. Now she thinks that you have no faith in her ability to handle those situations. He is her friend. Maybe he just wanted NOT to go stag to homecoming. Even if he had ulterior motives, you have to trust her to handle it unless she asks you to step in.
