I weigh almost 300 pounds. I know that Alot so please dont flame me for it.
I have cut Fast food Completely out of my diet for the past year, and cut Caffiene on a Major scale out. I usually drink only water. I have been trying to work out, but it hurts my back and my body.
When i was younger I had a disease which weakened my joints. I love to run and swim, but because of that disease its hard for me to do it for more then 1 mile, or 5 minutes of auctually swiming before my ankels and knees are hurting, sometimes making me colapse. I want to lose the weight. I even got an Ab Lougne and still no results and no weight lose. only gain. and noticale gain in my tummy.
Habit eating is just fruits veggies meat and all in small portions and around 3-4 times a day. I don't know what to do to lose the pounds. Does anyone haveany idea.
I have no money, job, Insurance, or doctor, please help.

also my full time job is chasing 3 kids around, taking them out.from 9-7. we have no junk food or sugary stuff.

To try to increase your metabolism, increase your protein intake, and try to eat 5-6 meals and snacks per day. A great diet is the Six week body makeover diet. It's high in protien, such as; Breakfast 2-3 egg whites, plain oatmeal, 1/2 apple. Lunch a can of tuna (strained in water) on 1/2 head of lettuce w/tomatoes and oil/vinegar or non-fat dressing or 1/2 chicken breast, veggies like brocolli, and 1/2 yam. Dinner can be the same as lunch. In between you'll want to snack on a piece of protien like the grilled chicken, fish or hard boiled egg (just the whites.) For your excercise, get a yoga/pilates tape for some low impact type workouts on the floor. You will still sweat from it and it will raise your heartrate into the fat burning zone. Keep drinking water and lots of it, but it's ok to add Crystal Light to it for flavor. Since you are not working right now, increase your exercise to twice per day. Now don't kill yourself, it took a while for the pounds to come on and it will take time for them to come off. Don't focus so much on the weight as on your general health and how you feel after a good workout. Good luck. (I hope this helped)

Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic index and load. It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way we have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle.

Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad carbs and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Links page has gov. BMI calculater to find out just how much overweight you are (teens plug in your age to compare to others your age). Get latest info like American Heart Association does not want you to eat more than 6 ounces daily of meat, fish or poultry. Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.

1. Get a job. You laying around is not helping
2. 5-6 SMALL meals a day - no cheating - or it will not work
3. If you do not work exercise untill it is you start to feel pain, rest, then start agin.

4. Stop watching tv and looking at the computer all day - come on you know what i mean. Go outside ... no really do it.

You should go see an expert in male hormone replacement therapy/ These are endocrinologists who specialize in supplementing hormones in people who have diseases caused by one or more of these being low. In a man, there are three likely candidates:

1. Thyroid - This is a big one in people who gain alot of weight despite having healthy eating habits. It is not enough to simply measure TSH (what most doctors do when they suspect thyroid problems). The reason is that most thyroid problems are the thyroid is putting out plenty of hormone, but the hormone has several isomers (same chemical, different shape). Different isomers have different biological activity. Most people with thyroid problems have plenty of thyroid hormone being produced but its mostly of the form with low biological activity. This is something measured on a special test for it. An EASY test for this is to take your temperature ten minutes before you get out of bed, every day, for a month. Average it out. If it's low, this is likely the problem.

2. Other than thyroid, two other hormones are common culprits. The first is testosterone. A man with low testosterone will gain weight easily and not benefit much from exercise. Exercise will tend to cause injury which is slow to recover. You may see various levels of sexual dysfunction and atrophy of the person's muscles. The person may develop diabetes, especially if he gains alot of weight. Measuring testosterone will feret this out. Supplementing it if it is low will help alot. Also, the herbal, Tongkat Ali will boost your testosterone and is used by alot of people for sexual performance enhancement, weight lifting supplementation and as an herbal treatment for diabetes (large doses of tongkat ali tend to suppress blood sugar levels but only in people where it is abnormally high). In other words, there may be a hormonal link to diabetes, which would account for the effect Tongkat Ali has. Drink lots of water and dont eat after 4 p.m. Also light exercise like walking or swimming. The trick is to cut out the carbs and eat more salads and fruits and nuts. Also no caffeine.
