Now, you can jog 13 miles a day to burn 1000 calories.
Or you could bicycle 26 miles a day.
It's important to keep eating healthy food, such as oatmeal. You don't want to destroy your body trying to lose fat.
The worse thing you could do is stop eating, very dangerous.

Well, you need to set yourself a goal first. You have already done that. That is for you to loose 10 kg, or roughly 22 pounds by Christmas. If you're fully dedicated to losing weight scientific guide lines say that with exercise and a cereal (high fibre) + protein + fruit and veg diet (reducing calories especially those from fat) you can expect to lose about 1 pound a week. Which is considerably less than a KG, but Im used to dealing in pounds so lets look at it that way. A realistic goal if dedicated is 1lb a week. Anything more is either impossible or unhealthy.
Starving yourself contrary to popular belief is not at all a way for you to lose weight. Infact ironically you might actually put it in. When you do not eat, (i.e starve) the body does not know you want to be thin or look better. The body think it is in a time of famine and slows the metabolism down severely and we all know that a faster metabolism is the way to lose weight and stay thin.
Now I take it you are looking at a quick and short term way of losing those kg or pounds. That means you wish to lose weight simply by eating less/ eating less fatty foods/ eating the right kind of foods (as mentioned above) and exercising a bit more. Reduce the number of calories you take in, count them and eat filling foods low in fat such as fruit, veg and slow energy releasing foods like cereals. Lean meat to give you protein but not too much protein as your body cannot store it anyway. (I went on an all protein diet + cereal diet along with weight training and running and went from 73kg to 65kg in a month). I do not however recommend this to anyone as I am not a professional health advisor. Do some light weights and do atleast 4 - 5 days of cardio a week. That includes cycling, aerobics, running and such.
Over a long period of time if you wish to stay fit look into body building, with good references on www.bodybuilding.com for amateur body building. Don't get images of pumped up women with more testosterone running through their veins than blokes. The principle in body building is that when you go on a high protein diet and combine that with weight training every extra 3 pounds of muscle you put on , burns the same amount of fat as a 1 mile jog! So imagine that an extra 3lbs of muscle could burn the same amount of fat as a 1 mile jog while you are sitting here righting a question like this one.
If this does not work for you: the safe weight loss diet, realistic expectations and essential exercise (if you do not exercise while eating less or eating less fat you still do not lose the weight)/ then consult a professional health and fitness advisor who can evaluate you personally and make a program that works JUST FOR YOU. That is their job and people do use them.

Drink tons of water. It helps curb your eating. Excercise is great also. Do something fun like dancing or rollerblading. Although I wouldnt recommend it for a permant solution, you can drop weight on the Adkins diet. My friend lost 30lbs in a month. I think that is about 15kg. But the smaller you are the harder it is to lose weight.

Diets do not work. 99% of people gain the weight back. Here is how it works. No one teaches the animal what to eat and what not to eat. He knows instinctively what to eat. Humans also have the same instinct. The way it works is just eat whatever tastes good and that will be healthy for you and non-fattening. That is why a baby tastes everything. So again whatever tastes good, is good for you. This is why you will spit out spoiled milk.
But wait!!! Man has the technology to create rat poison. It tastes like healthy food (good taste) but kills the rat. So man has done that to you. Note- any food unaltered by man (uncooked) that tastes good, is good for you. So if you are stranded in the woods, that is how you know what to eat (cooking changes that). So man has created fake fruit. It tastes like fruit that exists in nature but it is terrrible for health, addictive and fattening called sweets.
So it is natural to like real sweets called fruit, like a baby does, but they have fooled you just like the rat. But they do not want to kill you. They want you to become obese so you will buy lots of their foods. This is called GOOD BUSINESS. Cut sugar out of your diet and use whole grain products. Nothing made with white flour. I've lost 20 lbs so far with this method and it's part of a healthy eating plan developed by a cardiologist and a nutritionist.

listen to the last person (with the nutrition no carb diet)..i have lost 40 pounds...i gave up junk food...watched my cholestirol (no more than 200mg per day) and also drank water....u have to work out on top of that as well cause its the combination of a good diet and working out that will make sure that u dont gain it back) as soon as i v reached my goal, i dont watch what i eat as much (still no junk at all though) and work out only sometimes...but so far, i havent gained anything back good luck

work out every day. 50 sit ups in the morning and 50 situps at night. Ride your bike everywhere, and eat alot of fruit and veggies. Stop eating sugar (no coffee, tea, sweets or pop)Double your water intake. If you only drink one or two drinks, double it anyways.
