What city do you want to fly into and when are you going? Go to Kayak.com. It is THE best site to search for airfare because it searches all of the web including expideia and all carriers web sites to give yo the lowest fare. I searched from san diego to burlington vt in about a week and got a fare of $339 round trip. Just check it out.

to me it sounds cheap

of course, you can go to many sites (such as expedia, travelocity, etc) and easily get lots of comparisons

I recently payed more than $400 for roundtrip tickets from Utah to Mississippi

of course, pricing depends a lot on the specific airports you fly in and out of

airline tickets to anywhere (like the short hop from Jackson Mississippi to Houston Texas next week) are rare for less than $200
