Maybe they go to the wrong Church...
Maybe they go to bed too late the evening before...
Maybe they need coffee before service?
Who knows, maybe you need to ask someone that sleeps during their Church service.

Greetings!
I have attended "some" churches with many friends over the years and noticed very much the same thing. "Some" preachers try too hard, some not hard enough, and others can be boring. One the other hand, I have been in churches where the conversation is Spiritual and therefore moving and thought provoking. Yet the same holds true in Temples or any place where people gather for spiritual upliftment.
Why? I'll leave to others to speculate.
Peace

Maybe it is because they are not true Christians? I am not for certain what the answer would be to this question. I would not assume the person is bored because then they would not be a true Christian.
I would also state that if a person is not comfortable with the pastor then that would cause someone to fall asleep, I would recommend another church.

when you fall asleep it has nothing to do with the service i can fall asleep any where and i do not drink or stay out late there are many reasons for falling asleep but only a Moran would put it down to being bored with religion

Either because its peaceful or boring. Went to a home group with my church tonight, and the guy next to me fell asleep while we were all praying and was snoring really loudly, may not be Christian to laugh but we couldn't help it.

My brother and I would fall asleep all the time because the pastor spoke in a monotone voice.

because they don't see yet the value of worship. Church service is not entertainment. It is spiritual and communal. If their spirit is not there because they are thinking of something else outside, they find the service or mass boring and soon fall asleep.

Because it's so mind-bogglingly pointless and boring. I went to a wedding last year and the vicar prattled on for an hour about women obeying and how the wedding vows were an instruction book for life. My wife, me, my mother in law and I all fell asleep.
