i cant seem to stay awake in my 2nd period class because of the boringness of my teacher.....he is like the teacher in ferris buellers day off
does anyone have suggestions

Take constant notes with one hand, and fiddle with something else in the other hand. It helps. The dual "stimulation" keeps your brain focused in two seperate places, so even if you find what your teacher is saying is boring... you are still being stimulated by whatever it is you're doing with your other hand.
It worked for me. I usually had a stress ball, some silly putty, or a rubber band. Something like that.

This is a frequent problem for myself, me being an iPhone addict. Are you by chance near a window, if so open it (If you're allowed). Try and drink something cold whilst in class. Sit up straight or you'll begin to drop off, don't even lean on your fist, it's just as bad. If none of this works, try your best to stay awake, if you find yourself falling asleep, give your head a shake, and should you fall asleep, if the teacher finds you, generally I find they don't give a damn anyway :D! yeah i seem to fall asleep, or want to, not really actually sleep. bring some water to class with you. drink a lot of water to keep your brain going. chew gum. mints. something in your mouth, or you drinking will keep you awake :)

I try to focus on what my teacher is saying. Ignore the people around you if they are talking. Doodle on paper or tap your pencil while your listening to your teacher. It helps for me.

get enough sleep at night. pay attention to what the teacher says even though it's boring and ask questions if it's allowed...

wow, ur the 1st guy i know who sleeps in class.
well, i know what u mean, so i'm not gonna say pay attention
try to like draw on a paper, or count stuff, like dots on the ceilling.
i do that all the time!!!!!

do you eat breakfast?? Breakfast is good in giving you energy and it might help you stay awake

ugh, i had one of those. what helped me is to take lots of notes! i wrote down every word he said, just to keep myself awake.. also try to pull on your ears (down, up, sideways) -- sounds silly but this helps keep me awake..
