Why or why not?

I'd like to see where people think morality ultimately stems from.

"God wouldn't say that" is not a reasonable response. Not everyone believes that. Many people do believe that their God wants them to kill for him. Witness the modern Muslim fundamentalist drive to slay nonbelievers and the Aztec ritual of human sacrifice to ensure the rising of the sun that took place every day just 500 years ago as two examples. Ignoring reality does not answer the question.

no i would not.

because i am pagan and i do not worship that paticular god.

if one of my gods did order me to kill you i would cease worshiping that god.

why.

because i do not know you, you have not hurt me nor are you a threat to my family or coven.

no god worth worshiping would tell me to kill (nor allow me to kill in his/her name) a person that is unknown and not a threat to my survival or the survival of others in my family.

If god ordered me: no, god's word is meaningless to me.

If you've caused personal injury to me: possibly, it depends on how badly I'm injured.

If you're Bad For Humanity (Pat Robertson, Dic Cheney, etc): In a hearbeat.

If someone offers me a large sum of money and political immunity: Sure, why not?

What does that tell you?

I don't believe I could do it. I didn't give life to you. I don't have the right to take it away unless I felt you were gonna kill me first.
Even then, I'm not so sure I could do it. Life is a precious gift and should be treated as such.

If you knew God, you wouldn't ask this question.

God told us "Not to Kill", but I think that you knew that already.

Stop trying to trip up believers with your silliness.

Now go wash your hands for supper.

For one thing, my God would not order me to kill anyone.
So on that note I cannot answer your question. But, I will say on a more personal note, I would not kill you.

God has granted me freewill so i won't because i believe killing is wrong under any circumstances. if God wants you dead, He doesn't need me to kill you, He can make that happen himself (of course He wouldnt want you dead, cuz He loves you), so the order must not came from God.

As a gedankenexperiment, yes. In actuality, there being no such thing as god, the question is irrelevant.

it's a little easier than that... if God asks you to kill someone you should do it. thing is. if it IS God asking you to, then he will tell you to STOP. God does not sanctify killing. the one time he asked someone to kill for him he was testing their faith and loyalty to him. he then commanded the man to not kill his son before the act could be performed. therefore if it is God asking you he will tell you to stop before you do it. most likely he will not be the one asking you. death, disease, murder, and all the sins of the world are the province of Satan
