My husband and I have 2 Siberian Huskies. We do not allow our dogs to annoy our neighbors. My husband works outside the home, and we also own our own business, which I run out of our home. I am home alot so the dogs are mostly inside the house (they are extremely spoiled) with me. When they are outside, the minute they make a sound, I let them back in the house. I wish I could say the same for our neighbors. One of our neighbors has two small dogs that yap constantly. We live in a fourplex, so there is our house and 3 other houses all in a row. What amazes me is that if I can hear their dogs yapping from 3 houses down, how come they (and they are home most of the time in the evenings when the dogs yap the most) can't seem to hear them yapping in their own backyard? Never could figure that one out. Anyway, my husband just goes down and knocks on their door and asks them to take their dogs inside their house. This usually solves the problem for us. That and the fact that we all have the same landlord, and I'm sure they are smart enough to realize that if they don't quiet their dogs, our next step would be to complain to the landlord, and failing that, we would complain to the police until they got tired of hearing from us!

The Super Bark Free device emits an ultrasonic noise every time it senses dogs barking. Keep those dogs quiet with this harmless device. Guaranteed to stop barking, the Super Bark Free is a dog friendly training device. There are other devices on the website below.. at least they are humane... and less expensive. good luck. Hopefully, you'll have a quiet backyard again.

Try your hose. Go out and get them wet. Cold, wet dogs usually are silent in their misery. Anyway, you can hope.

Spike some meat with Benedryl. You don't need to worry about doses, if the dogs get poisoned, Yeah! They will sleep solidly for at least 4 hours.

Speaking of poison, antifreeze is sweet and dogs lap is right up. Probable deniability too, what with the seasons changing.

Everything I know of needs special collars to work. Look at Drs Foster and Smith. They have everything. Website: drsfosterandsmith.com

Good Luck

There are companies that make a sonic dog silencer, they work similar to a collar but can be used for a whole yard.

Call animal control. And keep calling them until they're sick of hearing from you and until the neighbor gets cited, repeatedly if need be.
