hello im Gary im a first aider for St.Johns Ambulance in the United kingdom... ive had to deal with many nose bleeds before .. so let me explain lol ....

Nose bleeds are very common as we all know. Bascially Your Nose contains many tiny blood vessels that bleed easily & then the Air moving through the nose can dry and irritate the membranes lining the inside of the nose So forming crusts. These crusts bleed when irritated by rubbing, picking, or blowing the nose. The lining of the nose is more likely to become dry and irritated from low humidity Allergies/ Colds/ Most nosebleeds occur on the tip of the septum, the cartilage that separates the nasal chambers. The septum contains many fragile, easily damaged blood vessels. This form of nosebleed is usually easy to stop. Less commonly, nosebleeds may occur higher on the septum or deeper in the nose. These higher or deeper nosebleeds may be harder to control.

Bascially depending on how bad your nose bleeds gets is a serious matter the best way to stop a nose bleed is a freezing cold ice pack or a bag cold peas from the freezer put on the back neck which trigger's the blood circulation in the neck bascially slows the blood right down thickening it., if the nose still bleeds after 20mins then it is a common matter going to A&E
Your nose may be broken (for example, it is misshapen after a blow or injury).

Prevention from a nose bleed... A cooler house and a vaporizer, to return humidity to the air, helps many people with frequent nosebleeds. Nasal saline spray can help prevent nosebleeds(ask ur GP "doctor") .

i hope this all helps ..

Check with an ENT (Ears, Nose, and Throat) Dr. Our daughter needed some surface very fine blood vasules in her nose coterized (like zapped) twice because of her fragile nostril blood vessels. She was intructed to use Vasaline in her nose every night and this has greatly helped. Often it can be from extreme temperature changes (especially going to a climate that is much hotter/more humid then one's used to. Also in the winter if the house is too dry. It could be from something more serious (or as simple as picking it too much). See an ENT but don't worry unless it's from both nostrils at the same time and very heavy.

There are many reasons. It could be because of dryness. Some nasal spray medicines cause it. Some peoples blood pressure causes theirs to bleed. If you have a lot or are talking about someone you know, you should go to the doctor just to see.

Hypertension will cause a nose bleed. Sneezing fits will brake blood vessels in the sinus cavity and cause nose bleeds also.

The capillaries in our noses are numerous and thinly protected. This is why just about everything makes our nose bleed. The slightest trauma of any kind sends it gushing.
