You need to go see a doctor. What the doctor will do is prescribe you an antibiotic to help reduce the redness and swelling of your throat. You have to be careful because strep throat is very contagious. If you take antibiotics your strep throat will feel alot better within the next four days or so.

Generally, if you still have a fever (after you start the antibiotics), you're considered contagious (I don't know if that's true, but it's an OK guideline, since you'll be feeling better after your fever goes away.)
Take all your antibiotics, and when you feel better, it's probably OK to go back to school. But don't stop taking the antibiotics until you're finished with the course. If you quit early, it can allow antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria to develop because you only sorta knocked them out, not killed the bacteria. Then, no antibiotic will help you. So take all your meds and get some rest and you can go back in a day or two.

strep is usually very responsive to antibiotics, and after your 1st days dosage you would not be contagious. you need to remember to take your entire prescription until it's all gone, even if you feel a whole lot better, as strep likes to reoccur unless properly treated.... don't forget to toss your toothbrush out and get a brand new one, and wash your pillow, as these can be strep breeding grounds. hope all goes well!!

If you go to the doctor for a strep test and to get antibiotics, you can get a confidential pregnancy test while you are there. That would solve your other problem as well.
