Yeah it is good to brush your hair but use a hard wooded bristle brush because this promtes more growth.

My wife is a hairdresser and she says ... " it's good for you to brush your hair. Brushing your hair does two things #1 your scalp releases a natural oil called sebum ( it's what makes your hair oily). When you brush your hair it distributes the sebum to your hair shaft which your hair needs to protect it from drying out ,and by coating your hair cuticle and it helps to even out it's porosity. It's your own natural conditioner. #2 you remove dead skin cells from your scalp. The skin cells can actually block your pores and cause the sebum (your natural oil) to become trapped and harden, which will leave you with a pimple or a boil on your scalp. Just be sure to find the right brush for your hair type and if you brush your hair when it's wet ( after a shower) take care cause it can break easier ,so your best bet is to use a pick first to detangle it along with a leave in conditioner."

Try not to brush it too much. Brush it after you wake up, MAYBE in the middle of the day, right before you take a shower, and right before you go to bed. Doing it more than that, will cause more breakage, so I wouldn't brush it in the middle of the day unless it's really tangled. Hope I helped!

Use a natural bristle brush. Brushing takes the oil from your scalp and spreads it throughout the hair, making it shiny and healthy looking.

Plastic brushes, or brushing it when wet, will cause breakage.

Never brush wet hair. Don't use hard plastic bristles. If there are tangles, always brush the hair starting from the bottom of the strand of hair. Work your way up. When you sleep braid your long hair or put it in a pony tail so it doesn't tangle.

Brushing is fine as long as its on DRY hair. Brushing WET hair causes breakage.

it takes out the already dead hair that has fallen out, but hasnt had the chance to leave your head. Start at the ends and work your way up it will decrease breakage...
