troubleshooting code P0402 excessive flow in egr system and P0401 insufficent flow in egr system? I changed the EGR valve and had comuter reset came back on after ten miles.

shop put new DPFE sensor in three months ago and one new fuel injector.

The EGR passeges are blocked up, Remove the throttle body and EGR and have the passages cleaned. It will be carbon up bad. If the injector was replaced due to them thinking the engine had a missfire, it is most likly due to the carbon flow to one cyl is more than the others.

You have a sensor problem... a sensor called a DPFE (Ford base number 9J460) is sending wrong readings to the computer causing the codes.... Known condition, only problem is sensor is only available from the dealer and costs about $100

At the same time, you're best bet is to replace the two hoses that connect the sensor to the egr tube.. (base Number 9P761) as they are known for cracking up when removing and they are special hoses

Throttle body is blocked up with carbon where the egr flows. Has to be cleaned out.

Also look at your vacuum lines, as if they are deteriorated, they will make the computer give out wierd codes. Seen this a few different times. Good luck.

try cleaning out the hoses, they're likely caked with soot
