If you got hurt in your upper body or neck, it could be a nerve problem. MRI could tell. My DAD went to a chiropractor who helped more on the nerves than the medical doctor who prescribed pills and surgery. The chiropractor releases nerves and assist in realigning the spine

Muscle Spasms could cause multiple things. Could also be a pinched nerve somewhere. I work in a Chiropractor's office and we treat patients all the time with problems like this, but without a doctor seeing you there is no way to know for sure. Go see a Chiropractor- that is my suggestion. They treat muscle spasms and back issues.

Check here a very effective sciatica natural treatment http://cure-sciatica.info
Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica.

Sorry your meds got nicked, that can be a real downer. You need to go back to the ER and explain to them that the pain is still really bad. You can also take a warm compress or a heating pad and place it where the pain is. From your symptoms I would say you either have pinched nerve or a strained muscle, either way you need something for the pain and spasms. You can also ice your back and then put the warm on it alternating for 45 minutes every 3-4 hours.

Hope you get relief!

Me too, if that can help you any. Twice my left hand has been hit by lightning. One, three years ago. Second time within the last year. In both instances lightning came through the open window, and hit left hand. One time, hand was on microwave (turned on) and no other part of body was hit. 2nd time lightning hit my hand holding cordless phone to my left ear, hitting hand and head. The visible lightning then went to the computer. First time left my hand needles and pins. Second time made this so much worse. Have told doctors, none of whom suggested help but one doctor's receptionist insisted it must be carpal tunnel. Whatever it is I still have it. I don't believe pins & needles in hands is connected to chiropractic problems, would look to spine for that.

Yes, the tingling in your extremities could be a result of your back injury. Report the stolen medicine to the police. Call your doc., tell him what happened, tell him you feel worse now, and if he believes your story, he'll probably help you. The sad truth is that lots of patients complain of fake pain just to get pain meds and sedatives, and doctors have to be on the lookout for this. If he can't or won't help you, contact a chiropractor and tell him/her everything that has happened.

A cheimical rxn occurs between detergent and stainless steel that neutralizes bad smells. So wash your hands w/ dish detergent (Dawn, Joy, whatever) and then while soapy, rub yoru hands and fingers all over something stainless steel. This could be a spoon, pot, clean sink bottom, faucet, anything. Rinse. Smell will be gone. Works for onion, garlic, and seafood.

Back pain, specifically low back pain should NOT be related to tingling in the hands....especially both hands. You make no mention of neck pain, so I assume your injury was specific to your back. Yet if you did have a neck injury, I would've recommended to have you call paramedics in order to have them take you to the ER to rule out spinal cord compression.
I would definetely make sure to call your doctor as you could be having an interaction of medication.

well she also may have done you a favor sounds like it could have been also a reaction to the drugs. I had a disk removed. ask for something else for pain demarl darvon . tell the dr. you had that feeling and he will chqange your meds. then if you still have problems check out the nerves. Some things take time to heal when you have trama like that too. But dont set around that also makes things get to stiff
