When people are children, they have no prejudices. But after they begin to mature, they start having to make judgements.

A lot of people never outgrow this stage of making judgements about people that are not based always in fact. They think an easy way to havel power(which we all seek) is to be "better" than another person. What they don't realize is that this power is false and only hurts them AND the other person.

True power comes with wisdom and acceptance, and positive action.
You already have that wisdom:)

To be honest, the only thing that pisses me off is that fact that everyone should be treated the same, yet everyone is different. So where do we stand i mean we all take the piss but its not like we haven't taken it before. The government is putting us into categories, like when you apply for a place to live they will put you in an area where its full of what ever colour you are, now whats all that about. People should just stop talking about it and just get on with it.

I have the upmost respect for every human being on the planet, have time and patience for every soul I meet, would help anyone irrespective of age, colour, disability, sex or sexual orientation, who needed or wanted it and I would like to think that I interact with any other person just as I would like them to interact with me. Do not know if this was my upbringing or my education or the time or place I was born. But am disappointed that my own children do not see the world as I do.

I support equal opportunities and I definitely respect diversity. In fact, I cannot think of a valid reason for me to discriminate on the basis of things that you have mentioned.

I believe that everyone should let others deal with their own business. Bullying is totally an unproductive action.

I hate the word "diversity." Yuck. It sounds like something unpleasant and forced--which it is.

Basically, there are nice people, and there are a$$holes--and you'll find some of each in every ethnic group, race, sexual orientation, religion and gender.

Judge each person individually. Find out what's neat about them...speak up if they treat you badly...and quit looking at differences.

you are absolutely right, but if it was so easy not to judge people, we would all live in peace, because for as long as we judge people for being different we cannot have peace on a small scale like in school or on a universal level. I myself have been working very hard on not judging people, even about little stuff. Let's all give it a try. You know what they say, "judge not lest you be judged". Peace and Love.

All noble and worthy sentiments, but the only way to get at intolerant and bigotted people is to make fun of them. I for one can't resist to put those right-wing self satisfied beggars in their place when they want to lay down the law to everyone else and are not even able to write understandably in their own language.

Definitely yes.
Stupid, dishonest, impolite answers are signs of diversity. You may wrongly show disrecpect to those answerers, some you like, some you don't like (perhaps they are too diverse to your thinking).
Our noble wish may come true with some period of time after taking proper education for that purpose. Pray for the coming of that day soon.

I just ACCEPT the fact that things are as they are. Why complicate simple issues? Human nature cannot be changed, so why not just ACCEPT people as they are. You'll have a lot less to worry about!
