I was with this girl for 3 years. Almost two months ago I broke with her, because I thought that it would be better that way. She moved about 3 hours away back to where we are from, and I stayed here to keep going to college. About a month after we broke up, she slept with some random guy who was passing through town. It broke my heart. Since then, I've gone through a very fast process of hating her and calling her a slut, to just missing her and wanting her back even though she did this to me. I think I can let that go if I just get one more chance with her. I went to visit her last weekend, and she said that she isn't in love with me anymore, but then she cried when I left. She also says that she needs independence in her life right now, but she is lonely. I just want to be there for her. Should I move back home? What can I possibly do to get this girl back into my life? What can I do to get one more chance?

Okay, first of all it sounds to me like the girl wants all the benifits of being in a relationship (someone to care about her, someone to make her feel special, someone to take her out, ect.) But with out actualy having to be in one. I get this feeling because I have been that girl...strining a guy along just for my own selfish reasons. If she really wanted to be with you she would stop at nothing to be with you.

My advice is to move on and find someone (in your own area) who truly appreciates YOU and wants YOU.

Good Luck.

I don't have an answer for you, but I want to point out a fallacy in your thinking.

You say that sleeping with some random guy after a month of being broken up is something 'she did to you'...sorry to burst your egocentrical bubble, but you broke up with her, and when she slept with someone else, she wasn't your girlfriend.

You had no 'claim' on her. She didn't do anything to you. She was acting within the realm of what was appropriate for her.

I say just leave the girl alone until you mature emotionally. Good luck!

Ok why were you mad with her again!? Dude you BROKE-UP with her, if she sleeps with someone she isn't cheating on you. Yeah it hurts since she WAS your gf, but get over it. I think she really is still in love with you and you should ask her one more time. Also to get more of a chance give her, her space, but keep asking. Maybe you should start fresh? Like taking her on small dates and then building up back into a relationship. Moving back home is up to you, if she is that important to you, go for it.

Don't go for her heart yet. Just, try to be her friend, and let her get back to trusting you, because you hurt her too. If you can get back to a friendly basis, maybe she'll ask you to get back together with her. Or maybe you'll have to go through the whole courting process all over again.

I just love these complicated ridiculously-long, meandering, single-sentence questions that no one can possibly answer! How the hell can we offer any kind of reasonably good response when we have no idea about the situation?

Thank god there is a character limit, or we have to read even more of this pathetic tale.

Sleeping with a random guy is not something she did to you,its something she did to herself. If you broke up with her you must have had a good reason. Are you sure you are not just bored and lonely yourself?Memories are usually sweeter when they are in the past,

Call her up or go by her house and talk to her. Tell her that you forgive her and that y'all have been together for to long to end y'all relationship like you did and apologize to her for the painful words that you said to her.
