It depends on several factors, are you going to be close enough for a week-end visit once in awhile, or is this going to be strictly phone text and typing??? Think about that one can you physically go without seeing one another for long stretches of time without wanting to wander. Also how long have you been together is this a summer fling that now you're back into school or what have you you want to maintain a relationship or are you a couple that have been together for some time and this great opportunity came up???? This is also a big maturity matter are you going to be stressed out constantly wondering if they are being faithful to you and your lifelong plans, or are you comfortable with not knowing.....Every couple out there has an opinion on if it would work...but guess what none of them are you. You and your other half need to seriously sit and think things through what is in the best interest for the BOTH of you now and in the near FUTURE don't be selfish because neither of you want to be alone. Be honest and upfront on your feelings and I am sure the two of you will come up with the right decision that is the best for the two of you!!!!!!

I have seen it happened before. I believe when you really love somebody it do sent matter the distance. You will honer and respect but most of all love that one person. A lot of times a relationship like that is stronger than the regular way...

depends on the sititution
my fiance and I the first time we started dating it fell apart because we went too long not seeing each other and we both got really lonely. the second time we started dating we decided that if we wanted it to work this time we'd have to live closer to each other.

you need to keep in mind that people are people and some good and some bad everywhere you go. a relationship is not based on distant it is based on how two people connect. any relationship can work if both want it to work.

I did one for a while and they suck, they are very difficult and eventually the love wears thin. They are very expenisve and really not worth it in the long run.
9,000 miles apart, lasted 3 years and cost me $36,000. Very bad investment....

If both partners are committed it can work. But I think it's generally more work than it's worth.

Generally they don't work well. However, I married a woman from Russia, so there are exceptions.

yea...he loves you...but he probably has a crush on somebody....and if he drinks or smokes or something like that...theres a great possibility that he would cheat on you...of course because he loves you hes going to try to hide it because he 'doesnt want to hurt you' when honestly he wants someone available when you two are near......

it depends on the whole situation. if you are young like teenage then i would guess that you should keep your options opened. if you are more mature i would say if you work hard at it it is possible
