Sports do make people cool, like football for example, but if you don't like sports, join clubs and meet people that likes to do what you do, popularity is not about having lots of people admire or envy you, it's about friends. Social people for example, have lots of friends because that's just how they are, they like being around people and having friends around and being friendly and all that stuff. Sports popularity is just what people think it's cool, ask yourself, do YOU think it's cool and do you like it? Or do you just want to be popular? If you like reading join a book club, or whatever. Just be yourself. Who cares about popularity? All you need is your friends, it's that enough popularity? Good Luck!

While many will say "Just be yourself," the fact of the matter is all you have to do is be yourself AND find individuals who share similar interests. That said, even it people don't share your same interests, you can always find a similarity between the two of you, be is a favorite sports team or a favorite subject in school. The bottom line is that sports make people part of a group of other people who play sports, but you can be part of a group that doesn't play sports who enjoys people who are similarly minded.

Some people are just not born cool. You can play all of the sports you want and still be a dumbass nerd. Luckily for me, I started playing american football when I was 7, won games in my middle school, and now im in the cool popular "clique", which you may think is cool because you have lots of friends, and it is. But you have to follow lots of rules, like you can't just like talk to somebody out of your clique, or you cannot be in that clique anymore, lots of dumbass rules to follow, and normal people (not popular) think that being popular is really cool and stuff but it's really not that cool anymore. Just win some games, that's the only way to do it, go out with some hot cheerleaders, and that's about it. Nerds and gays are really "in" now, FYI.

You have to develop some sweet skills (jake the SAMARI)
Or be the class clown.
But mostly, don't worry about being cool, worry about being kind, honest, and most of all yourself.

just be friendly and easy going helps to be funny too but if your not naturally funny don't try to hard. people love people who are easy to get along with. but I'm sure you're probably cool.
