Can it, for example, damage the eyes?

It is artificial UV lighting, similar to that in tanning beds. You probably shouldn't stare directly at it for long periods, but it is generally harmless.

I would think if you sat there scanning your eyes hundreds of times you could potentially cause some damage but a scan or two wont kill you. The same with looking at the sun. The longer you expose your eyes to the light the more potential you have to do some damage.

They will teach you during US weapons week. First the cadre will teach about the parts, safety, and finally how to operate. Once you do get to shoot though, its Effin awesome! You will even shoot a 240b at night with a laser sight that can only be seen with night vision goggles. Training is the same even if your an 11C like me. Its not just an 11B thing.

It cant damage eyes but it will make your hair turn gray. Also keep your mouth closed when photocopying or your teeth will also turn gray

yes...to the iris/pupil....its not very strong but continuously looking at it can damage ur eyes over a period of time

I don't think it's bright enough to damage your eyes, but I bet it can scorch your bottom.
