Haha, I just had this discussion with my dental hygenist of all people! She is the cutest thing ever and always such a sweetheart. She was saying how at her High School reunion the girls who didn't like here in HS were still being the same way they were 20 years ago. I said that the same kind of thing happened to me sometimes too and I thought maybe I just rubbed some girls the wrong way, but never have problem with pissing off guys. We decided that maybe some girls just take being very friendly and outgoing as being fake or something. Also, girls who are just unhappy with themselves tend to get jealous. I think it's sad because as a woman I love hanging out with my girlfriends. There are some things that guys just cannot relate to and who better to talk about guys with than girls!? I have mostly guy friends but I'm totally the shopping/makeup/gossip/girlie kind of girl and I think I would die without having at least some girlfriends. I've never understood the whole catfight crap with girls. It would just be so much easier if girls treated eachother well and not like its some big competition.

Because girls get vibes from other girls. The vibes can be good or bad. Girls care about how everyone is. If someone is cocky, then they don't like them. It is very hard to explain. Girls do mean things, just to make the other girl who they don't like, feel bad. I'm a girl, and I still don't understand these things.

I think something has happened that we are all raised to be competitive with each other and often jealous. Its our need to be the prettiest, to have the best significant other, etc. Its really sad and I wish it wasn't the case.

the age old question... i'm thinking they just don't like eachother and feel there is too much compitition.
but for the life of me i can't be this way to anyone. if someone is pretty then i'll let them know. it's easier to be nice then to be mean all the time.

I have often wondered this as well. I think women tend to be very jelous of each other.

we tend to be jealous of our counterparts. we want the spotlight and cant stand it if someone else has it. we dont want anyone to be prettier than ourselves or more popular, or get the goodlooking guy in school.
