Hey, I just got mine pull this summer. People have been telling me that it was gonna hurt a lot, and I really was expecting the worst going in. But to my surprise, it did't hurt a lot. The doctor gave me all these bags of pain reliever, and I didn't have to take even one!

Maybe I was the lucky one, but it didn't hurt for me.

Good luck on your upcoming appointment!

I just had mine out a few weeks ago. 2 of mine were impacted. I heard lots of terrible stories but my experience went really well. I went to an oral surgeon who was excellent. Not much pain - took the rx painpills the first couple of days them some advil after that. Can't really complain too much. I stuck with gentle foods the first week. Just rest up and take it easy the first couple of days. I was back at school after 6 days. I didn't swell much at all. Just felt bruised on my cheeks. Good luck! Think positive :]

I had a really bad time with mine, so my swelling and pain lasted a full week before it started going down. I hope you don't have as bad a time as I did, but if you do, what got me through it was lots of sleep so you don't have to feel the pain all the time. Plus the pain medicine they give you makes you groggy enough you WANT to sleep.

It all depends upon how well you heal normally.

I had a bad experience because two of mine were impacted and sideways (pain, swelling, ill, infection). From others that I know that had them out, they were usually feeling better in two to three days.

If you don't HAVE to have them out, I wouldn't suggest it.

Take about a week off work, buy lots of frozen peas packages and use them as ice packs.
