Its due to it dye the film on their teeth. Brush your teeth then drink wine. More than likely it won't turn purple. Thant and hoe they drink. Some people cover their teeth with their gum when they drink so drink doesn't geton their teeth.

teeth turn the color of what a person drinks because they are not brushing their teeth like they should be.....the color (pigment) of the wine sticks to the plaque....when i went to the dentist as a kind they always made me chew on these color tablets the were red to know where i was brushing at...and told me where i need to brush better. That how i know.

Plain and simple-plaque. The red in wine will stain the plaque purple. Some people have more plaque than others and so it shows more.

some people have a thing about brushing ones teeth and those are often the ones who have problems since they have so much plaque...
