Being paralyzed and mute in the dream could mean you are losing control in reality.

You probably are stressed out in real life. Therefore, if your dream, you subconsciously projected that similar situation, but more vivid.

Sleep paralysis is very common. I've felt it, too. It wasn't caused aliens, demonic possession, or the bogeyman under the bed.

Sleep paralysis is a perfectly natural occurrence. It's what prevents people from actually getting out of bed and roaming the house when they are dreaming about getting out of bed and roaming the house. Without sleep paralysis, you end up with sleep walking.

It just happens that you started to wake up before the effects of sleep paralysis wore off. You should be thankful that it wasn't the other way around. I've never heard of sleep paralysis leading to physical injuries, but sleep walking certainly can.

Its a possibility of two things either sleep paralysis which is very common or you were experiencing the gateway to an out of body experience, this could have been due to something occult you got involved in such as reading your horoscope,or going to psychics or engaging in some sinful activities.Sometimes it is triggered after illness, trauma or a stressful event. What is happening is your soul is being caught between your body and the outside world, causing you to feel paralyzed but still mentally conscious.Pray and ask the Lord to stop this from occurring again.A good book is the bondage breaker by Neil T Anderson.

It's called "Old Hag Syndrome". It's the feeling of being awake but unable to move. It's also often accompanied by the feeling of someone sitting on your chest. Very common.

simple sleep paralysis. just before you nod off the brain sends a message to your muscles to switch off so you don't damage yourself, ( old primate reflex) sometimes tho your brain sends the message before your really ready to sleep. incubi and succubi were thought to be behind this phenomenon in the middle ages. incidentally, "nightmare" means "the demon that sits on your chest" scary yes but totally normal, don't worry

It means that you need to stop and take a good look around you because things aren't as wonderful as they seem.

don't worry :) maybe it means you cannot see some things in the real world that you should perhaps change yet you cannot because your inability to say something in order to change it keeps you paralyzed :)

That might be sleep paralysis. You might have been between sleep and wakefulness. Odd huh?
